Itinerary

Day 1 – Hollywood – Arrive in Hollywood for three nights full days of sightseeing and fun. This evening after hotel check-in, your group will visit Universal CityWalk, the name given to the entertainment and retail district located adjacent to Universal Studios. There are more than two dozen great dining options and over 30 unique stores in this exciting marketplace. Enjoy the evening.

Day 2 – Beverly Hills, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre – The morning feature is a tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. You will see The Beaches, the Hollywood Sign, Mulholland Drive, Rodeo Drive, Bel Air, Sunset Strip and many Movie Star Homes.

This afternoon’s first feature attraction is Grauman’s Chinese Theater the most famous movie theatre in the world. Known for its unique Forecourt of the Stars, featuring cement hand and footprints of major movie stars from past to present. You will learn the history of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, inside and out, from its earliest days to the present. The Tour features stories and fun facts about the theatre’s Hollywood premieres. You literally step off the red carpet and walk through the golden doors of this Movie Palace of the Stars.

Your next attraction is just next door, here you visit the legendary Madame Tussauds offering you a chance to “meet” over 100 celebrities both famous and infamous on recreations of film sets.” This wax attraction includes stars of the silver screen from Hollywood’s golden age to the present, as well as contemporary figures from the worlds of sports and pop music.

Dinner tonight will be on the Santa Monica Pier and includes time for people watching or shopping. (B,D)

Day 3 – Your Choice – You can choose for your group to spend the entire day at either Universal Studios or Disneyland. (B)

Day 4 – Las Vegas – From the freeways of Southern California you motor across the desert to Las Vegas, NV for a three night stay in a casino resort. Once settled in your group will enjoy the City Lights Tour. See the Gondolas of Venice, the dancing fountains of the Bellagio, the erupting volcanoes at the Mirage & the Eiffel Tower!

This tour serves as your introduction to Las Vegas, it’s an orientation that will show you the sights along the Strip and Downtown along Fremont Street. Dinner will be included. (B,D)

Day 5 – Hoover Dam – Enjoy a morning at leisure then hop on the bus for an afternoon tour of the Hoover Dam Powerplant. Tour includes a 30-minute guided tour of the powerplant and admission to the Visitor Center. A 70-second elevator ride takes you 530 feet down through the rock wall of Black Canyon to begin a 30-minute guided tour. You’ll exit the elevator into a tunnel drilled in the 1930s for construction, and take a short walk to the Penstock Viewing Platform.  The Nevada powerplant balcony takes you to a panoramic view of the 650-foot-long Nevada wing of the powerplant and eight of the dam’s 17 huge generators.

This is followed by a scenic cruise on Lake Mead.  Enjoy the largest man-made lake in the United States aboard a three-level Mississippi-style paddle wheeler. Cruise the beautiful waters of Lake Mead and view the unparalleled sights of Hoover Dam and the steep canyon walls that surround it. View Boulder Island, Sentinel Island and see the Arizona Paint Pots.

Returning to Las Vegas enjoy a free evening to explore the casinos, shows and restaurants. (B)

Day 6 – Free Day in Las Vegas – Full Day at leisure in Las Vegas.  Enjoy her amusements and distractions. Then tonight bring your group back together and enjoy a nice dinner, followed by a Las Vegas Casino Revue Show. (B,D)

Day 7 – Depart –  Depart for Home. (B)
