Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Nashville – Downtown Hotel – Dinner – Honky Tonk Tour
On arrival in Nashville you check in to one of the beautiful new downtown hotels. This evening you have dinner with live music in one of Nashville’s Honky Tonk’s such as Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, or Kid Rocks Big Honky Tonk.
Then a Nashville performer joins you for a quick driving tour and a few songs. You’ll explore The “District,” Broadway Ave cuts through this downtown neighborhood and is packed with Southern eateries, honky-tonk bars with live music, and long-standing stores selling western wear or vintage vinyl. Photos and memorabilia document the careers of iconic country singers at the Johnny Cash Museum and the Patsy Cline Museum, and the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the Ryman Auditorium.
You will see the city’s biggest attractions while your performer-guides regale you with songs and acclimates you to the opportunities.
Day 2 – Morning Tour Option – Free Day
To begin the day you have a option of a second themed city sightseeing tour either:
– The Homes of the Stars Tour will drive past homes of some of the biggest names in Nashville like Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Reese Witherspoon, Little Big Town, and more. This is a great tour for country music fans and Nashville celebrity fans alike!
– Nashville Redneck Comedy Tour is a laugh-filled experience. You will see the most famous and historic sites. See all of the popular landmarks in Music City, maybe a country star, and some cowboy wannabes! Ever wonder if you qualify to be a hillbilly or a redneck? Find out aboard this fun-filled two-hour wild ride!
– Old Town Trolley Tour is more than just a sightseeing tour, it is a fun and educational adventure as your trolley conductor provides an entertaining narration that includes little known facts and behind-the-scenes tips. To view popular attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Parthenon and Bicentennial Capitol Mall, hop aboard the Old Town Trolley!
Then the balance of your day is free to enjoy the shows as you wish. Broadway Ave cuts through the heart of Downtown Nashville, from 1st Ave and the Tennessee River to the Ryman Auditorium on 5th. You will find many shops and boutiques such as Ernest Tubb’s Record Store, Betty Boots and several Western Shops. Plus, attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Musicians Hall of Fame. But the real reason you are here are the showbars. Choose from Honky Tonk Central, Robert’s Western World, The Stage, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge, Whiskey Bent, Legends Corner, AJ’s Good Time Bar (AJ is Alan Jackson), Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and several more.
Lunch today should be scheduled at Fifth + Broadway. With eats and entertainment for all ages, it is changing the way Nashville lives, works, and plays. Enjoy premier shopping & ridiculously good food at Apple Store, Ariat, Free People, Cava, Hattie B’s, Shake Shack, Slim & Husky’s and much more all while taking in the downtown views. From lunch breaks to post-concert hangs, this multi-level mecca is a must-see.
The District is a downtown neighborhood packed with Southern eateries, honky-tonk bars with live music, and long-standing stores selling western wear or vintage vinyl. Photos and memorabilia document the careers of iconic country singers at the Johnny Cash Museum and the Patsy Cline Museum. Known as the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the 1890s Ryman Auditorium hosts varied concerts and backstage tours.
One of our favorites is Nudies. Nuta Kotlyarenko, known professionally as Nudie Cohn, was an American tailor who designed decorative rhinestone-covered “Nudie Suits” and other elaborate outfits for megastars like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and Elvis Presley. His honky tonk is filled with memorabilia and also brags about the longest bar in Nashville—it’s 100 feet long and decorated with thousands of silver dollars.
Many of the showbars in “The District” are much more than you would imagine. There are rooftop bars, three and four story showplaces with music on every floor, full scale restaurants and/or sandwich shops as well as souvenir stores. Its as much, if not more, music and fun than any Dancin’ Fool or Music Fan can handle.
Day 3- One More Day or Depart for home
Whether you schedule this as a three-day trip or you add a third night, there’s plenty of great music to fill your time.
