Travel today to St Petersburg, FL. Start with a tour the Salvador Dali Museum’s , housing the largest collection outside Europe of the works of the artist Salvador Dali. The dynamic animations of Dalí’s works featured in Dalí Alive 360° illuminate the challenges and triumphs of his artistic career and provide visitors the sensation of stepping into Dalí’s life. The experience immerses the visitor in Dalí’s surreal landscapes, iconic melting clocks and mind-bending illusions with touchpoints from the artist’s time in Spain, Paris and America. Each of these eras in the artist’s life prompted a response from Dalí, leading to his constant reinvention.
Then enjoy free time and lunch on own at the St. Pete Pier! This gleaming new attraction on the city’s picturesque waterfront promises limitless fun for everyone.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Restaurants at the end of the pier include the fine-dining Teak, the more laid-back and tropical bar Pier Teaki and the Driftwood Cafe. They’re on different levels of the Pier Point building, and all offer amazing views of Tampa Bay and the city. Elsewhere on the pier, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille is the place where you’re most likely to find a party atmosphere.
The pier has several other fun activities for visitors to enjoy. Fishermen will find numerous spots along the structure where they can drop out a line and see what’s biting. Be sure to check out the Marketplace, which has an array of independent vendors selling artwork – you might just find the perfect souvenir to take home. There are also several other playgrounds, art installations and picnic areas you’ll want to explore.
