Itinerary

Day 1 – Biloxi, MS – IP Casino 

Today, travel to Biloxi, Mississippi, a city well known for its beaches and casinos since the turn of the century. Plan to arrive in the mid to late afternoon.

Towering over the scenic Back Bay of Biloxi, Mississippi, your home for three nights is at the IP Resort Casino Spa. Enjoy a luxurious stay & an unforgettable gaming experience at the Gulf Coast’s only Vegas-style ultra-lounge and 32-story hotel with great water views. During your three night stay you will receive a bonus of $25 in Free Slot Play, Two-$16 Food Credits, and an additional $26 Food Credit that can be used of at one of the fine dining or casual dining restaurants located in the Hotel Casino areas. Day 2 – Gulf Coast Touring – Shrimp Boil Lunch – Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum – Biloxi Guided Tour with Beauvoir Mansion 

This morning start with a Biloxi Shrimping Trip – a 70-minute living marine adventure cruise. This unique and historical cruise will take you along the protected waters of the Gulf’s shoreline and show you all the creatures, including shrimp, which inhabit the coastal waters.

Next, enjoy a Shrimp Boil buffet lunch including boiled shrimp, corn, potatoes, Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya, salad, dessert, and tea.

Tour the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum.  Experience an array of exhibits on shrimping, oystering, recreation fishing, wetlands, managing marine resources, charter boats, marine blacksmithing, wooden boat building, net making, catboats/Biloxi skiff, shrimp peeling machine and numerous historic photographs and objects.

This afternoon meet a local guide for a Biloxi City Tour. This scenic beachfront town lies directly on the Mississippi Sound with Barrier Islands scattered off the coast.  You will see such sights as Biloxi Lighthouse (1847) that has been managed by female lighthouse keepers longer than any other light in America.  Your guide will discuss the 300+ years of history, point out the public art, and tell you of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

You also stop at the Biloxi Visitor’s Center Museum, in the shadow of the Biloxi Light. It fuses the city’s architectural heritage with multi-media exhibits and gives you a feel for the Biloxi of yesterday as well as today.

You will also visit Beauvoir, the home of the Confederacy’s President Jefferson Davis. This includes a tour of the Beauvoir Mansion, Confederate Cemetery and a stroll through the beautiful Gardens.  You will also have the opportunity to visit his Presidential Library and sit with coffee and beignets on the front porch of the Mansion.

Dinner is included this evening at McElroy’s Harbor House. Have dinner this evening at a Family Owned and Operated Seafood Restaurant open since 1974. Enjoy laid-back dining and unimpeded views of Deer Island and the Mississippi Sound. (B-Food Credit, L,D)

Day 3 – Coastal Mardi Gras Museum – Lunch at Mary Mahoney’s Old French House – Visit the Walter Anderson Museum of Art – Free Evening at the Casino 

Start the day with a visit to the Coastal Mardi Gras Museum, where you learn about the kings and queens, krewes and the costumes, the parades and the people who make Mardi Gras a magical time.

Lunch is included today at Mary Mahoney’s Old French House. Enjoy an upscale and elegant meal in one of the South’s most unique restaurants, centered around one of the oldest homes in America. Dine in an elegant New Orleans style courtyard under the canopy of a century’s old live oak, where for 50 years, presidents, dignitaries, celebrities, and millions of others have experienced the rich history and legendary cuisine of Mary Mahoney’s.

Next, you visit the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. The Anderson family is still alive and well in Ocean Springs — enjoy the murals and outdoor art inspired by this family. WAMA is dedicated to the celebration of the works of Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), American master, whose depictions of the plants, animals, and people of the Gulf Coast have placed him among the forefront of American painters of the Twentieth Century.

Tonight, you are free to do as you please. You can use your Food Voucher for dinner at the hotel, spend time trying your luck in the casino, a gaming experience with a 70,000-square-foot casino with more than 1,200 slots, 48 table games and a 10-table non-smoking poker room. Day 4 – Depart for Home
